Code of Conduct

Here you can find the rules, regulations and requirements which you must follow on the programme.

Please read the Code of Conduct below carefully. By studying on the course, you automatically agree to follow these rules.

Attendance, Timekeeping and Attitude

  1. I will attend at least 90% of my classes. I will let the school know immediately if I cannot attend.
  2. I understand that if I am studying on a student visa, low attendance may result in my having to leave the country.
  3. I will not take leave from my course without first receiving permission from my programme manager. 
  4. I will arrive on time for my lessons, prepared and ready to study. 
  5. I will speak English in school, and as much as possible outside school.
  6. I will treat all members of the school community, both staff and students, with respect.
  7. I will follow the wider school rules relating to behaviour on and off campus.

Study

  1. I understand that I must pass my exams and failure to pass could result in my being removed from the course and the school.  
  2. I understand that if I am studying on a student visa, failing exams may result in my having to leave the country. 
  3. It is my responsibility to study and learn the information I am provided with during my course. 
  4. I will make a study plan with my tutor for the duration of my course, and not change that plan except in consultation with my tutor. 
  5. I understand that all the work I give to my teachers will be my own, and not anybody else’s. I understand that plagiarism and cheating at exams is a crime and is not acceptable. 
  6. I understand that I must do all my homework and assignments according to the deadlines that my teachers give to me, and that there are penalties for late submission. 
  7. I understand that if there are problems, I will ask for help. 

University Applications

  1. I understand that all university applications are my responsibility. I will complete them on time and take responsibility for my application choices.
  2. I will discuss my choice of universities with my application tutor and I will make them fully aware of my choices.
  3. The information I send to universities will be accurate, and I will not falsify any documents in my application.
  4. My application will be my own work and I will not commit plagiarism in my application.
  5. I will make sure EF University Preparation Abroad has up to date contact details for me, including correct addresses for when I leave.
  6. I understand that my progression to university is dependent on my performance on the University Preparation course.

Information

  1. I give permission for EF University Preparation to provide information (including through EF regional offices and approved agents) to the person(s) or organisation(s) who have paid for my course regarding my progress. This includes information about my attendance, grades, attitude, and university applications.
  2. EF University Preparation will not provide any 3rd party with any information about you which is not relevant to your progress on the course.
